Tupper Lake is located in Franklin County, the heart of the Adirondack Park. This village of over 4500 residents was first settled about 1856. The expansive forests that cradle the village are a haven for all sorts of sportsmen, and have fed an enduring logging industry, which is celebrated each year by the annual Tupper Lake Woodsmen's Days, the largest event of its kind in northern New York. Another popular event is the annual Tupper Lake Tin Man Triathlon which is sure to challenge any athlete. The community, surrounded by sparkling clean water, has immediate access to 30 contiguous miles of waterways on Big Tupper Lake, Lake Simond, Racquette River and Racquette Pond.
